Brazil ,Train and Stamps

Walking into the exhibit, the first stand I saw was a display of the Latin American stamps were thought to have been first inhabited by the people crossing the Bering Land Brige, now known as the Bearing strait. While these are not as immediately attractive as modern, full color stamps these early designs give a fascinating insight into postal history. The place of issue in Sao Paolo Brazil South America. Brazil stamps from 2006-2007 looks like art work if a (Bar beiro) and (Manicure) from hector Consaul a Brazilian artist. Postmarked in 2006 on a ‘Porto Selho’(3 Mary’s water towera ) from Brazil (There are two of these stamps attached to the card).

The Philatelic Exhibit in Dumaguete
The Philatelic Exhibit features different types and forms of stamps, postmarks, etc. around the world such as animals, houses, bridges, famous people, aviation, etc. According to some the most famous or popular philatelic items would be of birds and butterflies, other themes of these items helps us broaden our knowledge towards the world that we live in and especially the different/various types of animals, people, plants, and the like that coexists together. It also helps us appreciate more our surroundings, the environment, society and community, understand them better through the different themes, styles and techniques that they were presented, also through the use of different colors as well.
Philatelic items represents the country where they came from. It tells there story, there history, there culture, there geography it also shows us there evolution, how the people live differently from different locations and countries. It also shows the development of certain places and countries throughout the world. It broadens our knowledge and understanding about the world and also our ideas and imagination as well.
The philatelic items that really caught my attention towards all the exhibit were the different/various flora and fauna, the insects, the famous people and locations/destinations from different countries. Such as the stamp from Peru, Central America, Venezuela, the exhibit about the various arthropods, birds, dogs and cats. It really shows the expertise and workmanship of its creator. It also caught my attention because of the vibrant, cool and heartwarming colors and prints of these items.
Although the exhibit was small, still it's really fun and exciting watching those different stamps, postmarks, and the like. Some of the exhibit were really cute and really eye-catching. Some even showed the development of aviation, the Chinese Zodiac Signs, The world architecture that features the different bridges and houses from various countries like the Bamban Bridge from Tarlac and the Ukrainian Peasant House. And some that were issued during the Japanese Occupation in the Philippines. These preserves the rich and vast culture, history and also it creates memories and stories that will exist forever.
